Idaho colleges roundup: College of Idaho women snap road losing streak
Petra Lumpert scored 20 points to lead the Coyotes past Multnomah 73-61 Friday night, ending an 11-game road losing streak. Haylee Burnham added a career-high 18 points. The C of I (4-9, 3-4 Cascade) opened the fourth quarter on a 13-4 run, and hit a season-high 10 3-pointers. Miranda Schmillen led the Lions (3-12, 1-6) with 20 points.
C of I MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes got off to a hot start and coasted to a 94-59 road win over Multnomah (4-11, 1-6 Cascade). The C of I (10-6, 5-2) shot better than 50 percent for the game and raced to a 50-29 lead at halftime. Joey Nebeker (Melba High) led the team with 23 points.
