Idaho colleges roundup: Northwest Nazarene soccer player gets All-American nod
Senior midfielder Julio Castillo earned his second straight All-American recognition after being voted Division II honorable mention this season. He was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year last month and led the league with 15 assists. He also pitched in four goals.
IDAHO WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Vandals’ winning streak came to an end with a 78-62 loss at Texas Tech. Idaho started ice cold, falling behind 20-6 at the end of the first quarter. Idaho would never get within 11 points for the rest of the game, allowing Texas Tech to make a season-high 12 3-pointers. Senior Renae Mokrzycki scored a career-high 20 points for Idaho (7-2).
