College of Idaho men’s basketball ranked No. 6 in preseason NAIA poll
The Coyotes, who had 30 wins, a Cascade Conference championship and reached the NAIA Division II national quarterfinals last season, open this season No. 6 in the Top 25 Coaches’ Poll, released Tuesday. The College of Idaho, which lost four starters off last year’s team, opens the season at the Quinn Classic in La Grande, Ore. — starting Friday with an exhibition game against Langara (B.C.), followed by the regular-season opener Saturday against the University of Victoria. The top five teams in the national poll are defending national champion Cornerstone (Mich.), Indiana Wesleyan, Davenport (Mich.), Saint Francis (Ind.) and Olivet Nazarene (Ill.).
