Idaho State football searching for rare win at Montana

The Bengals head to Montana for a 5 p.m. kickoff Saturday (ROOT) searching for their first win in Missoula, Mont., since 1983 and to snap a 10-game losing streak to the Grizzlies (5-3, 2-3 Big Sky).

Idaho State (2-6, 1-4) brings a banged-up squad into Missoula. Coach Mike Kramer told the Idaho State Journal starting running back Jakori Ford likely won’t travel to the game, forcing him to miss his second straight contest. Linebacker Mario Jenkins (Columbia High), who leads the Big Sky with 10.2 tackles per game, also may not travel due to injury.

Injuries on the offensive line will force the Bengals, who have lost four straight, to start their sixth line combination this fall. Freshman center Dallen Collins (Vallivue High) is the only lineman to start all eight games this season.

Sophomore linebacker Josh Buss (Mountain View High) leads the Grizzlies defense with 57 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks.
