Idaho ties in the NFL (Aug. 13): Hightower has big outing for Colts

With Andrew Luck getting a break, backup quarterbacks Scott Tolzien and Stephen Morris teamed up in leading Indianapolis to a win over Buffalo. Bills rookie third-stringer Cardale Jones nearly pulled out a comeback victory in the final seconds. Jones threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Jarrett Boykin as time expired, but he threw an incompletion on a 2-point conversion attempt.

Rams 28, Cowboys 24

Los Angeles earned a win in their homecoming when Sean Mannion threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Green with 1:54 remaining for a comeback victory over Dallas at the LA Coliseum on Saturday. No. 1 overall draft pick Jared Goff struggled after replacing Case Keenum early in the second quarter, completing 4-of-9 passes for 38 yards and an interception.

Seahawks 17, Chiefs 16

Trevone Boykin engineered a last-minute, 88-yard touchdown drive in four plays, hitting Tanner McEvoy with a 37-yard scoring pass, and Tyvis Pope scored the 2-point conversion with no time remaining, lifting Seattle over Kansas City.

Titans 27 Chargers 10

DeMarco Murray ran for a 71-yard touchdown, rookie Derrick Henry also scored and Tennessee’s new-look rushing attack delivered an impressive debut. Murray had six carries for 93 yards. Henry had 10 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown.
