California kicker Joel Velazquez commits to Boise State football team
The Boise State football team picked up a verbal commitment from Trabuco Hills High (Mission Viejo, Calif.) senior kicker/punter Joel Velazquez on Sunday night.
Coach Bryan Harsin tweeted “A Special GO BRONCOS,” implying the team got a special teamer. Velazquez confirmed his commitment on Twitter minutes later. According to MaxPreps, Velazquez has sent 32 of his 43 kickoffs for touchbacks, averages 39.3 yards per punt and is 5-of-7 on field goals.
