Boise State football got new championship rings. Here’s what went into them

Championship rings have become a common occurrence around the Boise State football program, but that doesn’t take away from any of the shine and sparkle when they arrive.

The latest batch of rings arrived earlier this week, commemorating the Broncos’ third straight Mountain West title. Boise State defeated UNLV in the title game for the third straight time in December, recording a 38-21 victory at Albertsons Stadium.

The 2024 championship rings featured a blue Bronco backed by a pair of Mountain West trophies — naturally, one of the biggest upgrades to the 2025 ring is a third trophy emblazoned on the top of the ring.

Here’s what else went into the latest piece.

Top of the ring

As mentioned above, the top of the ring features a silver bejeweled Bronco that is backed by three Mountain West trophies. Each trophy is adorned with a large white diamond, and the entire backdrop is made up of approximately 40 blue diamonds.

The words “Mountain West Champions” encircle the top of the ring alongside other diamonds.

Left side of the ring

If the three championship trophies on top of the ring weren’t enough of a giveaway of the Broncos’ three-peat, the left side leaves no room for interpretation. “3-PEAT” is embossed there, alongside the years 2023, 2024 and 2025. That all is situated above the embossed logos of Boise State and UNLV, alongside the final score of 38-21 and a Mountain West championship logo on a blue background indicating the program’s blue turf field.

Right side of the ring

The right side is where each player’s ring is personalized.

Similarly placed upon a blue background, each player’s name, number and position are flanked by diamonds, with the team motto, “Built Different,” above.

Inside and the bottom of the ring

The outline of the state of Idaho is carved into the inside of the ring, which indicates Boise State’s motto of being the “front porch of Idaho.” Inside the state outline reads “28 straight,” which pays homage to the program’s bowl eligibility streak.

Meanwhile, the bottom of the ring features C.L.I.M.B., an acronym popularized under head coach Spencer Danielson. It stands for Competition, Love, Integrity, Mentality and Believe.
