Boise State football star offensive lineman invited to NFL Scouting Combine

Former Boise State offensive tackle and 2025 team captain Kage Casey has been invited to the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine later this month.

Casey is one of 319 players invited to the event, which will run from Feb. 23 to March 2 and give NFL scouts a long look at some of the nation’s best college athletes ahead of the NFL Draft on April 23-25.

Casey’s invite extends Boise State’s streak to 22 years of having at least one player invited to the combine. Running back Ashton Jeanty and defensive end Ahmed Hassanein were invited to last year’s edition of the event. Jeanty went on to be drafted sixth overall by the Las Vegas Raiders, while Hassanein was selected in the sixth round, 196th overall, by the Detroit Lions.

Multiple draft boards project Casey as a fourth- or fifth-round pick.

Casey, listed as 6-foot-5 and 311 pounds in his final year at Boise State, spent four years with the program and was a starter at left tackle for the past three seasons. He played in 46 games for the Broncos, helping them win three straight Mountain West titles while earning all-conference first-team honors in 2024 and 2025.

Across his final two years with Boise State, which saw the Broncos finish 12-2 and reach the College Football Playoff in 2024 before going 9-5 with a loss in the LA Bowl in 2025, Casey totaled 1,889 offensive snaps and led the Broncos in snaps both seasons.

However, he opted out of Boise State’s LA Bowl game against Washington in December, which the Broncos lost 38-10.

Sports analytics company Pro Football Focus gave Casey an overall grade of 80.0 in 2025, which ranks fifth among FBS left tackles who played over 800 snaps. He also earned a 99.3 pass blocking efficiency in 2024, which ranked third among FBS offensive tackles.
