How much are tickets for Boise State’s Mountain West championship game? Open that wallet
Boise State will play Friday evening at home in one of the biggest games in its football history.
The No. 10 Broncos (11-1, 7-0 Mountain West) will take on No. 19 UNLV (10-2, 6-1) in the Mountain West championship game at 6 p.m. at Albertsons Stadium. The winner will get the Group of Five’s automatic berth in the first 12-team College Football Playoff, and a Boise State win could secure it a first-round bye into the quarterfinals.
It also will be the final game on The Blue this season as the Broncos look to win back-to-back Mountain West titles for the first time.
Not much more could be on the line.
“I told our team this is why you come to Boise State. You came here because you want to earn the right to play and win championship games,” Boise State coach Spencer Danielson said Monday. “Friday night championship game, everything on the line, all chips on the table … let’s go.”
How much are tickets selling for?
Naturally, tickets for the big game are hard to come by, and aren’t exactly cheap if you do find them.
Boise State Athletics and Ticketmaster combined to create a partnership following the COVID-19 pandemic. This allows fans to purchase tickets either directly from the university or via resale with the comfort of knowing that they are verified by the university.
“We highly recommend our fans head straight to ticketmaster.com because those tickets are verified resale, which means they are legitimate,” Andrew Bondi, director of ticket operations at Boise State, previously told the Idaho Statesman.
The student section sold out Monday afternoon, but seats are still available throughout the stadium.
As of Monday afternoon, the cheapest ticket on Ticketmaster was $69, before fees, in Section 12 in the lower northwest corner of the stadium. If you want a higher elevation, you’ll pay $70 per ticket for the stadium’s southeast corner.
The costliest tickets found were $553. That would put you in Section 22, next to the student section on the stadium’s east side at around the 35-yard line.
On other resell websites, the cheapest available tickets were $58 on SeatGeek, $53 on Vivid Seats and $49 on Stubhub. However, only resale tickets bought through Ticketmaster have been verified by Boise State.
Fox Big Noon Kickoff comes to Boise
Friday’s game is long after noon, but that hasn’t stopped the Fox Big Noon Kickoff TV show from announcing that it is coming to Boise.
The program, hosted by Rob Stone, features national championship-winning college coach Urban Meyer and former college football stars Mark Ingram II, Matt Leinart and Brady Quinn.
The crew will set up its desk on the field at Albertsons Stadium for a pregame show starting at 5 p.m. That set will be near the Hall of Fame in the stadium’s southwest corner, where the Bleymaier Football Center is.
