Boise State unveils new uniform combinations in latest EA Sports NCAA 25 trailer

The Boise State football team unveiled new uniforms for the 2024 season in the latest teaser of the EA Sports College Football 25 video game, which is scheduled for release on July 19.

The video clip features running back Ashton Jeanty, the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year last season after leading the conference with 1,347 rushing yards and ranking No. 2 with 19 total touchdowns. The clip ends with Jeanty striking the Heisman pose after scoring a touchdown and reciting the EA Sports trademark slogan, “It’s in the game.”

The video also features defensive end Ahmed Hassanein, who led the Broncos with 12.5 sacks last season, and a shot of punter James Ferguson-Reynolds completing a pass on a fake punt.

Boise State’s new uniforms are from the high-tech Nike Vapor F.U.S.E (Field Utility Special Edition) line.

“It’s all about the lightweight fabric and snug fit,” Dale Holste, associate director of equipment operations, said in a press release. “Players have already noticed the difference from last year’s uniforms.”

Changes to the design of Boise State’s uniforms include:

  • Boise State font on the front of the jersey is about an eighth of an inch larger.

  • The Broncos script featured on the pants is about an eighth of an inch larger and longer.

  • The stripes on the shoulders that were applied at an angle now surround the arm.
  • The colors of the stripes have been reversed compared to last season’s uniforms.
  • For the first time since 2006, jersey numbers have been added to the top of the shoulder.

Design elements featured on previous uniforms remain the same, including a blue collar that includes the words “Blue Collar” on each jersey. The Broncos have blue, orange, white and black jerseys, pants and helmets, creating 64 possible combinations.

“As we approached changes to our uniform design, we wanted to emphasize the traditional look established in our previous design, maintaining the all-blue look and the Dark Mode concept,” Boise State Athletic Director Jeramiah Dickey said in a statement. “We also have discussed the opportunity to use some different combinations, including the retro throwback combination of blue helmets, orange jerseys and blue pants that were worn when Dirk Koetter was our head coach.”
