Boise State football suspends all team activities. Spring game still up in the air.

The Boise State football program announced Tuesday afternoon that is has suspended all team activities in accordance with Mountain West policy, which was announced Monday night and suspended all “organized team athletically related activities” until at least March 29.

The Broncos have not practiced since last Wednesday, a team spokesman said.

In a statement released to the media Tuesday, Boise State said it didn’t hold Friday’s scheduled practice and instead gathered as a team to discuss the coronavirus pandemic throughout the country. No timetable was given for a decision on the resumption of spring practice or the Spring Game, which is tentatively scheduled for April 11.

When asked if the majority of players were still on campus, the spokesman referred to an email disseminated by Boise State advising all students capable of doing so to go home.

The NFL is prohibiting teams from visiting draft prospects, which effectively shuts down Boise State’s Pro Day scheduled for April 2.
