Former Boise State offensive lineman Ezra Cleveland’s draft stock is on the rise.
Following an impressive performance in the bench press Thursday at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Cleveland blew through the 40-yard dash Friday with a time of 4.93 seconds, which, at the time, led all offensive linemen at Lucas Oil Stadium.
As of Friday evening, Cleveland’s time ranked No. 3 behind Ball State’s Danny Pinter (4.91) and Iowa’s Tristan Wirfs (4.85).
After measuring in at 6-foot-6 and 311 pounds, Cleveland continued to show off his athleticism Thursday with a 30-inch vertical leap, a broad jump of 9 feet, 3 inches and a time of 7.26 seconds in the three-cone drill.
Cleveland started 40 games on Boise State’s offensive line since 2017 and was a first-team All-Mountain West pick in 2018. He was slowed early last season by a foot injury, but he announced Dec. 24, 2019, that he would forgo his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.
On Thursday, Cleveland finished fifth among offensive linemen with 30 reps on the bench press. Heading into the combine, nfldraftcountdown.com’s Scott Wright ranked Cleveland No. 6 among offensive tackles. Draftscout.com ranked him No. 7.
Former Boise State offensive lineman John Molchon put up a time of 5.13 seconds in the 40-yard dash Friday. He also posted a 34-inch vertical leap and a time of 7.85 seconds in the three-cone drill.
After running the 40 in 4.43 seconds Thursday, former Boise State wide receiver John Hightower completed the three-cone drill in 7.07 seconds.
