Boise State men’s basketball hires director of operations

New Mexico Military Institute assistant coach Jake White was named Boise State’s director of basketball operations, coach Leon Rice announced Friday. White, a Texas native, will be responsible for day-to-day office operations, coordinating travel and equipment, and serving as the staff’s contact point for academics, camps and community involvement. He was a leadership and character development instructor at NMMI, where he played before transferring to Texas A&M Kingsville and the University of Texas at Tyler. White has also coached at various colleges and high schools in Texas.

BSU VOLLEYBALL: The Broncos released their 2016 schedule, which includes 13 home matches. Boise State has nine away matches before hosting a five-team tournament Sept. 15-17 against Portland State, UC Davis, Santa Clara and Arizona State to complete nonconference play. Its Mountain West home opener is Sept. 29 against San Diego State.
