Boise State’s Drmic signs with Australian basketball team
Former Boise State guard/forward Anthony Drmic is headed home to begin his professional basketball career.
Drmic signed a two-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers of Australia’s National Basketball League, the team announced Wednesday.
A native of Melbourne, Drmic will play about 450 miles west in the South Australian city of 1.3 million.
Boise State’s No. 2 all-time leading scorer with 1,942 points, Drmic holds the record for most games played as a Bronco with 131.
Current Boise State assistant coach John Rillie played for Adelaide from 1996-98, while former Bronco guard Igor Hadziomerovic was a rookie last season in the NBL with Melbourne United.
