The top women’s basketball team in the Mountain West was too much for Boise State to handle Wednesday night at Taco Bell Arena.
The Broncos’ nine-game win streak came to an end with an 83-51 loss to Colorado State (21-1, 11-0 MW).
Marta Hermida led BSU (16-7, 9-3) in scoring with 12 points. Shalen Shaw recorded her ninth double-double in the past 14 games with 11 points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
The Broncos shot just 23 percent in the first half and trailed by as many as 37 points in the second half.

Boise State remains in third place in the conference standings. The Broncos visit Wyoming at 2 p.m. Saturday.
