Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State rallies, but falls short against Idaho State
Shalen Shaw scored a career-high 32 points, but the Broncos lost to the Bengals 80-77 in a women’s basketball game at Taco Bell Arena on Friday night. Boise State (4-4) was down 11 with 3:22 to play and rallied to get as close at 76-74. Shaw added a team-high seven rebounds. Brooke Pahukoa and Marijke Vandershaaf each added 11 points for the Broncos. Idaho State (5-4) did most of its damage beyond the arc, hitting 11 3-pointers. Boise State looks to rebound Sunday when it hosts Concordia (Ore.).
BSU TRACK: Senior Tansey Lystad took third place in the 5,000 meters (16:31.61) at the Hoosier Open in Bloomington, Ind. It was her first race with Boise State. David Elliot also ran the 5,000, placing fourth in the men’s race in 13:49.82.
