Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State women give coach Presnell record win

Brooke Pahukoa scored 19 points to lead six Broncos in double-figure scoring Sunday afternoon as the basketball team raced past Portland 89-49 to hand coach Gordy Presnell his school-record 180th win. “I am really pleased with the way we played overall today, it was a team effort,” said Presnell. Every player for BSU (4-3) scored.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Jaycin Tini had 18 points and 14 rebounds as the Coyotes rolled past Walla Walla 98-36 in Caldwell. Madison Pilster added 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals, while Maddie Skaggs (Boise High) scored a career-high 15 points for the C of I (2-6, 1-1 Cascade), which forced 41 turnovers and outscored the Wolves 58-13 in the second half.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes defeated Walla Walla 98-55 in Caldwell. Emanuel Morgan scored a career-high 22 points to go with 10 rebounds for the C of I (7-4, 2-0 Cascade), which hit 12 of its first 14 3-point attempts in the second half, outscoring the Wolves 63-22 after the break.
