The Boise State women’s basketball team (3-3) pulled within five points with 1:16 remaining, but couldn’t complete the comeback in a 57-52 loss to Washington State (6-1) on Thursday at Taco Bell Arena.

Boise State coach Gordy Presnell will try for his program record 180th win Sunday at Portland.

Six-foot freshman forward Borislava Hristova scored a game-high 18 points for the Cougars, whose staff includes two former Boise State head coaches in June Daugherty and Rod Jensen.
