Washington State had a vacancy to coach its men’s basketball team, and that of course meant Leon Rice’s name came up. After all, the Boise State coach interviewed for the job the last time it was open.

However, the Cougars hired San Francisco’s Kyle Smith, which again puts the focus back on the Broncos, who should return a ton of talent along with their coach.
