Boise State women’s basketball adds Final Four team to schedule

The Boise State women’s basketball program entered a home-and-home agreement with the University of Washington that includes a 2017-18 game in Boise, head coach Gordy Presnell announced Tuesday.

Washington will host the teams’ first meeting since 2008 on Dec. 11 in Seattle. The Huskies went 26-11 last season, made the Women’s Final Four and finished eighth in the national coaches’ poll. Washington leads the all-time series 19-4; Boise State’s last victory came in 2007 in Boise.

The Broncos (19-11 in 2015-16) begin preseason practice Oct. 4 and face Alaska-Fairbanks in an exhibition game Nov. 6. The regular season begins Nov. 13 against Southern Oregon at Taco Bell Arena.

BSU WOMEN’S GOLF: The Broncos finished 15th at the Ram Classic in Fort Collins, Colo. Genevieve Ling and Jalayne Martinez tied for 47th to lead Boise State in the tournament hosted by Colorado State.
