Boise State soccer falls to Seattle on late penalty kick

Seattle converted a penalty kick with 2 seconds remaining to hand the Broncos a 1-0 loss Friday at the Boas Soccer Complex. Janelle Flores had one save for BSU (1-1-0), which hosts UC Irvine at 2 p.m. Sunday.

BSU GYMNASTICS: The Broncos will have four home meets and five road contests in the 2017 season. BSU will host BYU (Jan. 27), Southern Utah (Feb. 3, Beauty and the Beast), Utah State (March 4) and Denver (March 10). The Broncos will be seeking their third straight Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference title when their season begins Jan. 13.

BSU MEN’S TENNIS: The Broncos added freshman Brian Tran of Australia to the roster.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE/COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN’S SOCCER: Ashley Cook-Cox’s first-half goal was enough for NNU to beat the Coyotes 1-0 in an exhibition in Nampa.

C OF I VOLLEYBALL: The Yotes (3-3) beat Rocky Mountain 3-0 and Vanguard 3-1 at the Big Sky Challenge in Butte, Mont.
