Idaho colleges: Boise State freshman garners All-American track honors
Brenna Peloquin ran to an eighth-place finish in the women’s 10,000 meters Thursday at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Peloquin clocked a career-best time of 32 minutes, 58.78 seconds.
Idaho senior Kinsey Gomez earned second-team All-American recognition with her 10th-place finish (33:18.0).
In the women’s 3,000 steeplechase, BSU freshman Minttu Hukka finished 20th in a time of 10:36.67.
BSU WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Broncos promoted Cariann Ramirez to assistant coach and named Julia Fishman director of operations.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes released their 2016-17 schedule, and among the highlights is a Nov. 1 exhibition game at Arizona. C of I opens the season against Trinity Western in La Grande, Ore., on Oct. 28, and its home opener is Nov. 18 against Colorado Christian.
