Idaho college roundup: Boise State men’s tennis knocks off UNLV

The Broncos (16-9, 5-2) closed out Mountain West play with a 4-1 win Sunday afternoon at Appleton Tennis Center. Thomas Tenriro, Toby Mitchell and Kyle Butters all earned victories. BSU finishes the regular season next week, hosting Idaho and Gonzaga, before heading to Las Vegas to defend its four straight conference titles.

BOISE STATE WOMEN’S TENNIS: The Broncos (11-9, 3-2 Mountain West) defeated Colorado State 4-2 in Fort Collins, Colo. Arianna Paules Aldrey earned the clinching point in No. 5 singles.

BSU MEN’S GOLF: The Broncos finished 14th of 15 teams at the El Macero (Calif.) Classic. David Elliott led the team with a 42nd-place finish at 13-over 229.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO BASEBALL: The Yotes (30-15, 17-10 NAIA West) split with Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls, Ore., losing 3-0 and winning 7-2.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE TRACK: The Crusaders racked up 16 individual victories in the NNU Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Taylor Deskins, Anysja Manzer, Hailey Gordon, Lexi Tubbs, Isaac Mitchell and Nick Hamilton all earned wins, while the women’s 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams also claimed victories.
