Idaho college roundup: Boise State softball can’t avoid sweep at Nevada
The Broncos couldn’t stop the Wolf Pack and lost 5-2 on Saturday. Kora Wade led Boise State (8-23, 0-3 Mountain West) with two hits. Boise State returns home to take on Fresno State at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dona Larsen Park.
BSU MEN’S TENNIS: The Broncos (11-8) upset Cal Poly 4-3 on the road.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO SOFTBALL: Destiny Turner (Mountain View High) had three doubles, breaking the school record, as the Yotes (11-10-1, 5-5 Cascade) split with Northwest Christian on Saturday in Caldwell. The C of I won the first game 13-2 and lost the second game 8-4 in eight innings.
C OF I BASEBALL: The Yotes (25-8, 13-3 NAIA West) split with Simpson, taking the first game 13-3 and losing the second 9-7 in Redding, Calif., to take a half-game lead in the North Division.
NORTHWEST NAZARENE BASEBALL: The Crusaders (16-10, 11-5) swept Central Washington in Nampa, taking the first game 9-1 and the second 6-5, to move into first in the GNAC.
NNU SOFTBALL: The Crusaders (13-14, 7-7 GNAC) split with Simon Fraser in Nampa, falling 3-2 in the first game and dominating 14-0 in the second.
