Idaho college roundup: Mitsunaga leads Boise State golf in spring opener

Junior Kyle Mitsunaga (Boise High) shot a 3-over 219 to lead the men’s team in the LMU Invitational on Tuesday.

He finished tied for 16th, while the team finished tied for ninth place with a score of 304 (+16). Tristan Rohrbaugh (228), Logan France (229), Shane Allor (233) and Alex Francois (235) rounded out the Broncos’ scoring.

Boise State gets back to action at the Jones North Ranch Invitational on Feb. 29-March 1 in Westlake Village, Calif.

BSU TRACK AND FIELD: David Elliott was named Mountain West men’s track athlete of the week, and Allie Ostrander was named Mountain West women’s track athlete of the week.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Crusaders gave up a big run at the end of the first half and couldn’t find a way back, falling 73-60 on the road to Central Washington (13-5, 8-5 GNAC). Bouna N’Diaye led NNU (7-12, 3-10) with 16 points, while Joel Devastey added 13. The Crusaders never led and were outrebounded 48-33.
