Idaho colleges roundup: Bears wrestle past Boise State in Pink Out

Wearing pink singlets for breast cancer awareness, the Broncos (3-4) won four matches in a 22-15 loss to Northern Colorado on Friday night at Taco Bell Arena. Austin Dewey (174 pounds, Centennial High), Zach Coffman (184) and Rami Haddadin (125) all won by decision. No. 19 Geordan Martinez (149) pinned Tommy Box in 4:25 — his third pin of the season.

BSU WOMEN’S TENNIS: The Broncos lost to Denver 5-2 on the road. Bobbi Oshiro earned a win in singles and doubles, and BSU won the doubles point.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO MEN’S BASKETBALL: Ben Tucakovic (Borah High) scored 25 points to lead Northwest to a 91-81 victory over the Coyotes in Kirkland, Wash. Joey Nebeker (Melba High) led the C of I (13-10, 8-6 Cascade) with 28 points.

C OF I WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Held to six points in the fourth quarter, the Coyotes lost to Northwest 71-51 in Kirkland, Wash. Petra Lumpert led the C of I (5-15, 4-10 CCC) with 11 points.

C OF I BASEBALL: The Coyotes (2-0) beat Arizona Christian 11-6 behind a five-run seventh inning in Phoenix.
