Vandals’ Sanders out 3-7 weeks with injury

MOSCOW Last week, the Idaho men’s basketball team was celebrating its victory over Montana. This week, the Vandals learned that Victor Sanders’ injury, a hand fracture, will sideline the sophomore guard three to seven weeks, meaning they’ll be without their top two scorers Thursday night.

Sanders and backcourt partner Perrion Callandret, who shed his rehab boot Sunday, have provided 43 percent of the Vandals’ scoring this season.

Idaho (12-8, 4-3 Big Sky) will be forced to make significant adjustments against Sacramento State (8-9, 1-5) on Thursday and against Portland State (7-10, 3-3) on Saturday.
