The No. 13 Broncos (4-0) won their second tri-meet in a row, scoring a 196.425 to take down BYU (195.475) and UC Davis (194.750) on Friday night. It’s the 19th-best score in BSU history and a season high. Shani Remme tied for the all-around win (39.250), and Ann Stockwell picked up two event victories with a career-high 9.875 on the uneven bars and a career-high-tying 9.925 on vault. Sandra Collantes won on the floor with a career-high 9.925.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO MEN’S BASKETBALL: Corban missed a 50-footer at the buzzer, and the Coyotes held on for a 70-68 victory in Caldwell. Aitor Zubizarreta scored 21 points, making 6-of-8 3-pointers, including a go-ahead triple with just over two minutes left to give the C of I (13-8, 8-4 Cascade) a 66-63 lead.
C OF I WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Corban rallied for a 77-71 win over the Coyotes in Caldwell. Petra Lumpert led the C of I (4-14, 3-9 CCC) with 27 points.
