Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State’s Heidemann earns all-region honors

Senior midfielder Brooke Heidemann (Rocky Mountain) is the first Bronco in school history to earn NSCAA All-Pacific Region honors. She was named to the second team. The region includes the Mountain West, Big Sky and Pac-12 conferences. Heidemann led the Broncos in every offensive category, scoring six goals and assisting on five more.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Crusaders got off to a slow start and were never able to recover, falling to San Francisco State 81-50. NNU was just 15-of-43 from the field. Joel Devastey led the team with 11 points while Bouna N’Diaye added 10 points, four rebounds and four assists.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes’ (2-8) shooting went cold in the second half, and Northwest Christian (6-5) pulled away for an 82-62 victory. Northwest Christian outscored C of I 36-24 in the second half. C of I’s Petra Lumpert lead all scorers with 25 points, and Kiara Skinner added 14.

C OF I MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes fell behind early and couldn’t overcome the deficit, falling to 89-76 to Northwest Christian (8-4). Emanuel Morgan led C of I (7-5) with 20 points and five assists. Aitor Zubizarreta scored 15, and Dominique Jordan pitched in 14.

IDAHO STATE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Bengals (6-4) won their fourth-straight game with an 82-55 rout of Montana Tech (5-8). Apiphany Woods and Brooke Blair led Idaho State with 13 points each.
