Boise State notebook: Heidemann makes All-MW soccer; football time set
Boise State senior midfielder Brooke Heidemann (Rocky Mountain High) became the third Mountain West player to make the all-conference women’s soccer first team all four years of her collegiate career.
Heidemann — who also was the league’s Freshman of the Year in 2012 — had six goals, including three game-winners, and two assists in conference play.
Amanda Feigt (Utah, 2003-06) and Katie Larkin (2005-08) were the first four-time, first-team All-MW players. Heidemann became BSU’s first three-time first-teamer in any conference last season.
Junior center back Hailey DeVries made the second team after leading a defense that had a 1.33 goals-against average in MW play. Junior forward Baylee Blaser (Mountain View High) received honorable mention after scoring twice in conference games.
FOOTBALL SCHEDULE SET
The final pending time on the Broncos’ schedule was determined Monday. Coming off a bye week, Boise State will host New Mexico at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Albertsons Stadium. The game will air on ESPNU.
