Boise State’s Marisa Howard takes fourth in steeplechase at nationals

Marisa Howard earned first team All-America honors in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:37.84) at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday. Boise State’s Emma Bates and Tessa Murray collected second team All-America honors in the women’s 5,000. Bates took ninth (15:56.72) and Murray finished in 15th place (16:14.95). The Oregon women won the national championship, joining the Ducks’ men’s team, which claimed its second straight title Friday.
