Boise State’s Emma Chard, Ally Kleinsorgen swim career bests
Emma Chard (400-meter freestyle) and Ally Kleinsorgen (100-meter backstroke) clocked career bests in their events at the Phillips 66 National Swimming Championships on Friday.
Chard touched the wall in 4 minutes, 18.26 seconds, finishing 40th out of 70 competitors. She’ll race again Saturday in the 1500-meter freestyle.
Kleinsorgen clocked in at 1:03.47, cutting five seconds off her personal best and finishing 67th out of 110 competitors.
NORTHWEST NAZARENE BASEBALL: Billy King made his professional debut with the Princeton Rays, the Tampa Bay Rays Appalachian League affiliate after signing as a free agent on Thursday. King went 1 for 4 with a double as Princeton beat the Bristol Pirates 4-3.
