Boise State swimming relay team finishes 23rd nationally

Boise State opened the NCAA Championships on Wednesday with a 7 minute, 7.68 second time in the 800-meter freestyle relay, finishing eighth in their heat.

Emma Chard, Brittany Aoyama, Cody Evans and Felicity Cann made up the team.

Individually, Chard will swim the 500 freestyle, and Aoyama and Katelyn Martin will swim the 50 freestyle Thursday.

The 200 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay are also scheduled.
