Five Boise State volleyball players named to all-Mountain West team

Boise State junior outside hitter Sierra Nobley was named the Mountain West volleyball player of the year Monday.

She is the first Bronco to earn the league’s top honor.

Middle blockers Maddy O’Donnell and Kaitlyn Oliver, and libero Maddi Osburn (Vallivue High) also were named to the first team, while outside hitter Sabryn Roberts was an honorable mention pick.

Shawn Garus was chosen as coach of the year for the second year in a row.

The Mountain West champion Broncos (25-6) make their NCAA Tournament debut against Western Kentucky (30-2) at 5:30 p.m. MT Friday in Stanford, Calif.
