Boise State graduate advances at Paralympic Games

Roderick Townsend-Roberts finished third in the first heat in his division of the 100 meters with a personal-best time of 11.07 seconds.

Townsend-Roberts’ time was the sixth fastest overall and good enough to advance to Sunday’s final, which is scheduled for 7:45 a.m. MT.

He also is scheduled to compete in the long jump and high jump later in the week.

BSU VOLLEYBALL: The Broncos (4-5) lost to Missouri 25-20, 25-17, 18-25, 25-23 at the Idaho State Invitational on Saturday in Pocatello.

BSU MEN’S GOLF: The Broncos are tied for ninth heading into the final round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational at the Eisenhower Golf Course in Colorado Springs, Colo.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: Corban snapped the Coyotes’ 12-game home winning streak with a 25-21, 17-25, 25-20, 25-20 victory in Caldwell.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE MEN’S SOCCER: Four Crusaders scored goals in a 4-1 win over Westminster in Nampa.

NNU VOLLEYBALL: The Crusaders remained unbeaten with a 25-20, 12-25, 23-25, 25-16, 15-10 win over Point Loma at the GNAC/Pac West Crossover Tournament in San Diego.
