Boise State graduate advances at Paralympic Games
Roderick Townsend-Roberts finished third in the first heat in his division of the 100 meters with a personal-best time of 11.07 seconds.
Townsend-Roberts’ time was the sixth fastest overall and good enough to advance to Sunday’s final, which is scheduled for 7:45 a.m. MT.
He also is scheduled to compete in the long jump and high jump later in the week.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE MEN’S SOCCER: Four Crusaders scored goals in a 4-1 win over Westminster in Nampa.
NNU WOMEN’S SOCCER: Hawaii-Hilo topped the Crusaders 2-0 in Nampa.
NNU VOLLEYBALL: The Crusaders remained unbeaten with a 25-20, 12-25, 23-25, 25-16, 15-10 win over Point Loma at the GNAC/Pac West Crossover Tournament in San Diego.
