No. 10 BYU takes down Boise State volleyball

BYU swept the Broncos 3-0 at the Idaho State Invitational on Friday, snapping BSU’s four-game winning streak. Sierra Nobley led BSU (5-3) with 11 kills.

BSU SOCCER: Montana scored in the 38th minute and held on for a 1-0 victory over the Broncos in Missoula. BSU (1-5-0) had a chance to tie the game in the 90th minute, but the shot was cleared at the goal line.

BSU WOMEN’S TENNIS: Hanna Kantenwein advanced to the semifinals of the top singles draw during the first day of the Cougar Classic in Pullman, Wash. Two BSU pairings advanced to the quarterfinals of the doubles draw.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: Alaina Slater and Brenna Meehan each had 11 kills as the Coyotes won their 12th straight home match, topping Northwest Christian 25-14, 25-22, 25-15. Kilee Lopez (Vallivue High) added 16 digs for the C of I (7-4, 2-1 Cascade), and Jayde Folsom had 38 assists.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE VOLLEYBALL: The Crusaders beat UC San Diego 3-1 at the GNAC/Pac West Crossover in La Jolla, Calif.
