Tri-City Dust Devils end Boise Hawks’ two-game winning streak
Boise’s bats made some noise Tuesday, but it wasn’t enough as Tri-City knocked off the Hawks 7-6 in Northwest League baseball at Memorial Stadium.
Tyler Orris led the Hawks (24-33; 8-11 NWL second half) with two hits, while Garrett Hampson added one hit and two runs.
Boise jumped out to a 2-1 lead after two innings, but Tri-City (27-30; 8-11) responded with two runs in the third. Luis Castro hit a two-run home run in the eighth, cutting the lead to 7-6. The Hawks went in order in the bottom of the ninth.
Boise opens an 11-game road trip Wednesday, taking on Eugene at 8:05 p.m.
