Big second inning sinks Boise Hawks in loss to Hillsboro Hops
Hillsboro plated five runs in the second inning and held on to top the Boise Hawks 9-5 on Wednesday in a Northwest League baseball game at Memorial Stadium.
Pitcher Robert Tyler, the 38th overall pick in June’s draft, made his professional debut for Boise. He started the game, walking two and didn’t surrender a hit in his only inning.
Boise (22-29, 6-7 second half) continues its eight-game homestand by taking on Hillsboro at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
