Boise Hawks shut out Tri-City Dust Devils

Four Boise Hawks pitchers combined for a five-hit shutout as Boise defeated the Tri-City Dust Devils 4-0 in a Northwest League baseball game Saturday night at Gesa Stadium. Brandon Gold picked up the win for Boise (20-27; 4-5 NWL second half), throwing two innings of one-hit ball.

Boise scored two runs in the fifth, including an RBI double by Steven Linkous. The Hawks tacked on two more insurance runs in the eighth, taking advantage of two Tri-City (22-25; 3-6) errors. Luis Castro also drove in one.

Boise continues their series with Tri-City Sunday at 8:15 p.m.
