Boise Hawks win season-best third straight game
Boise went to work early, scoring three runs in the first inning on its way to a 5-3 victory over the Eugene Emeralds on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
Hawks left fielder and leadoff hitter Steven Linkous went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, an RBI and two stolen bases.
Boise concludes its three-game homestand against Eugene on Sunday.
The league then takes Monday off as players travel to Tuesday’s All-Star Game against the Pioneer League in Ogden, Utah.
Boise will be represented by first baseman Jacob Bosiokovic, shortstop Garrett Hampson and pitchers Julian Fernandez and Javier Medina.
