The Capitals twice staved off elimination Saturday to win the AA American Legion baseball tournament at Timberline High for the second year in a row.
Bradley Jekich hit a walk-off double in the 11th inning to send the Capitals to a 13-12 win over the Lewis Clark Twins in a loser-out semifinal.
Boise then took on the Idaho Falls Bandits in the title game, winning 8-5.
Lefty Colbi Paul entered in the second inning for the Capitals and pitched the rest of the way to earn the championship victory.
The Capitals (31-13) advance to the American Legion Northwest Regional Tournament on Aug. 3-7 at Powers Field in Cheyenne, Wyo.
Boise begins play at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday against host Cheyenne Post 6.
