Nampa brothers qualify for national motocross event
Devin and Jadon Slusher were chosen from a group of more than 22,000 entrants to participate in the 35th annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship.
The event takes place Aug. 1-6 at Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., and race action will be streamed live each day at RacerTV.com.
Devin, 12, will compete in the 65 cc 10-11 limited and 65 cc 7-11 classes.
Jadon, 9, qualified in the 50 cc 7-8 limited class.
The Slusher brothers train locally at Owyhee Motorcycle Club.
Of the 22,000 hopefuls, the field was narrowed to 1,482 qualifiers who will test their skills on a variety of jumps, corners and other obstacles.
