Hawks lose to Canadians at home; series ends Sunday
Vancouver pounded out 15 hits en route to a 9-4 victory over Boise on Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.
Bobby Stahel and Willie Abreu went 2-for-5 to lead the Hawks (11-18), who had 11 hits but left 12 runners on base.
The Canadians (15-14) broke a 4-4 tie with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. They added two runs apiece in the eighth and ninth to seal the win.
The teams play the final game of the five-game Northwest League series at 7:15 p.m. Sunday before the Hawks head out on a three-game road trip.
