The All-Star Game got off to a fast start with three home runs in the first two innings Tuesday night in San Diego — and all three players have Idaho ties.

The Cubs’ Kris Bryant played with the Boise Hawks in 2013, and Royals’ teammates Eric Hosmer (2008) and Salvador Perez (2008-09) played with the Idaho Falls Chukars.

Those three players drove in five of the six runs, and Hosmer won the MVP as the American League beat the National League 4-2. The AL has won four straight All-Star Games.
