Errors doom Boise Hawks in 8-6 loss to Hillsboro Hops

Boise committed four errors, and pitcher Mike Zimmerman walked two and threw two wild pitches as part of a five-run fourth inning that propelled the Hillsboro Hops to an 8-6 victory over the Boise Hawks in a Northwest League baseball game Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.

Hillsboro (7-9), the reigning NWL champion, had five unearned runs in the inning and six in the game.

Catcher Wilkyns Jimenez went 4-for-4 with an RBI, and shortstop Garrett Hampson was 3-for-5 for Boise (5-11), which wraps up this series and its six-game homestand at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
