Boise Hawks trample Emeralds at home
Boise’s gargantuan seventh inning gave the Hawks breathing room in a 16-6 win Tuesday at Memorial Stadium.
The Hawks (4-8) put up 10 runs and turned a one-run lead into 11. Luis Castro and Jacob Bosiokovic had back-to-back two-run doubles with two outs during the onslaught. Both were 3-for-4, leading five Hawks with multi-hit games.
Castro and Wilkyns Jimenez had four RBIs each.
Eugene (8-4) was 2-for-13 with runners in scoring position, while Boise was 9-for-17.
The Northwest League series continues Wednesday and Thursday.
