Rathdrum’s Bayley wins Idaho Men’s Amateur golf tournament

Derek Bayley, a Lakeland High grad and Washington State junior, assumed the tournament lead after the second round and held on for a win with his 6-under 65 Sunday at BanBury Golf Club.

Bayley finished three strokes ahead of Auburn’s Graysen Huff — a former Eagle High golfer who also carded a 65 in the final round — at 8-under 205.

Ryan Porch of Kalispell, Mont., was third (211), and Canadian Blair Bursey took fourth (214).

Boise State’s Connor Johnstone (Vallivue High) and Notre Dame’s Hunter Ostrom (Bishop Kelly) finished in a four-way tie for fifth at 215.
