Baseball/Softball

Team USA baseball: Tryouts Sunday, May 22 for U-16/U-17 in Boise. Players must attend a tryout to advance to the Mountain West regional tryouts to be named to Team Mountain West. Regionals for Team Mountain West is a recruited and scouted event. Info and registration at mountainwestntis.com.

Poop Scoot 5k and 3k Run/Walk: Registration at 7:30 a.m. and race at 8:30 a.m. June 11 at 8th Street Park, next to the Meridian Water Division. Participants will attempt to beat a tennis ball traveling through the sewer collection system to the Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility. Onward Shay! Boise Half and Full Marathon: 7 a.m. Oct. 30 at Payette Brewing Company. Held in honor of Shay Hirsch, wife of George Hirsch.
