Northwest Nazarene baseball to host GNAC Tournament

Northwest Nazarene, the regular season co-champions, host Montana State Billings and Western Oregon on Thursday and Friday at Elmore Vail Field.

First pitch is noon Thursday, with No. 2 seed MSU Billings (29-18) playing No. 3 Western Oregon (29-21).

Top-seeded NNU (28-20) opens at 3:30 p.m. Thursday against Western Oregon, then takes on MSU Billings at 7 p.m.

The championship round begins at 1 p.m. Friday, with an if-necessary game scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

Single-day tickets — good for all three games Thursday, or both games Friday — are $8 for general admission, and $5 for students, seniors (65-and-older) and children.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO SOFTBALL: Junior catcher Destiny Turner (Mountain View High) and senior shortstop Katie Rowe (Lake City) were named to the All-Cascade Conference first team, and sophomore infielder Kristin Paulazzo was an honorable mention pick. Turner and Hailey Chambers (Boise) earned spots on the Gold Glove Team. Corban’s Jessica Holsinger (Eagle) is the conference pitcher of the year.
