Idaho Steelheads back on thin ice; host Game 4 on Friday
Depending on how you look at it, the Idaho Steelheads still have a chance to seize control of their Western Conference quarterfinal series against the Allen Americans. Or they’re two losses away from another early postseason letdown.
Idaho, which lost in the first round last year, won Game 1 in Texas last week. Since then, the Steelheads have scored two goals in two losses, including a 3-1 setback Wednesday at CenturyLink Arena. Games 3 and 4 are at 7:10 p.m. Friday and Saturday in Boise.
Allen, the defending ECHL champion, hosts Games 6 and 7 next week.
